Managing College Admissions Stress: A Mindfulness Workshop for Parents and Teens

Learn techniques that can be used by both teens AND their parents to manage the considerable stress surrounding the entire college admissions process. In the first half of the 90-min workshop, moms, dads, and college-bound teens from 9th-12 grades will learn and practice the basic, research-based Mindfulness techniques used throughout the medical and general wellness communities for pain management and stress reduction. In the second half, we will discuss the various stressors throughout the entire college admissions process, along with how parents and teens can effectively manage them together. This is a great opportunity to learn to work together toward a common goal and diffuse a frequently excessively volatile process.
